Bihun Goreng (Fried Rice Vermicelli)

Bismillah

Ingredient:

-Cooking Oil          3 Tablespoon
-Onion                    1/2 pcs (Thin Sliced)
-Garlic                     2 pcs   (minced)
-Egg                         1 pcs
-Chillie paste         1 Tablespoon
-Oyster Sauce        1 Tablespoon
-Dark Soy sauce    1 Teaspoon
-Carrot                    1/4 pcs(cut to matchstick size)
-Cabbage                2 leaves(thin sliced)
-Mustard Green    1 leaves(thick sliced)
-Rice Vermicelli    1/2 Pack (Soak in Water)
-Chicken Stock Powder 1 Teaspoon
-Salt/Sugar          To Taste

Method:

-Soak the Rice Vermicelli on container,left aside.

-Heat the pan with Cooking Oil in low heat.

-Add Onion and Garlic until fragrance or change brownish color then put Egg,Stir occasionally.

-Add Chillie Paste, Oyster Sauce, Dark Soy Sauce,stir and wait until thicken.

-Add Carrot,Cabbage, Mustard Green,Rice Vermicelli(Toss to remove excess water)  and Chicken Stock, Mix until well blended.

-If your food colour look pale,add a bit dark soy sauce(wont effect taste as it almost tasteless,it function to give colour)

-Salt/Sugar to taste of your preference.

-Garnish with Fried Shallot, Fresh Chillies and slice of lime.

Tips/Advice:

-This recipe is just a guideline to make simple dish. I already arrange the ingredient that suppose to be put in the pan step by step so you able to see how it suppose to done.

-Again, This recipe is just a guideline. If some ingredient you dont like or you dont have,you can omit or substitute...just make sure dont remove core ingredient..how do you make fried rice vermicelli if you remove rice vermicelli?

- This recipe can diversify into many stir fried cooking. Example Fried Rice,Fried Keow Teow, Fried Yellow Noodle and many more, just change Rice Vermicelli and follow the ingredient. Be Creative, you the boss of your food.

-Cooking is easy than you think, the problem is when you see cooking show, they tend to use outlandish and expensive ingredient. Actually you can substitute with other ingredient with the same category. Example Wine, taste almost sweet and Sour , can be change with Cider or anything acidic.

-Always scrape the crust that created on the edge of pan and mix together with that recipe..that where true goodness coming..dont believe in me?..try taste for yourself..

-When Seasoning your food, always seasoning in small amount so you can control your food..if you want little bit savoury..add salt...little bit of sweet..add sugar..little bit of heat..add chillies.. you the boss..you in control..
